There are some seriously beautiful gladiolus in season right now. They are a pretty versatile plant material. I mean, yes it's a line, but the blooms (open, closed, or in-between) can serve as a form flower, bring line to the arrangement, give it height, etc. For instance, I made a glad only lei and it turned out really gorgeous and each funnel shaped bloom slips right over the next making a clean and elegant design.
