Are We Under the Sea

My roommate found this amazing rock at the ocean with all these holes and shelled little critters. We decided to make it the centerpiece on our patio table and wanted to incorporate plants into it so that still looked like it was under water. Here's what it turned out like:
Echeveria rosettes, aeonium pups, tillandsia, and sedum cuttings

Echeveria rosettes

It's easy enough to care for. Simply keep a spray bottle around to spray the rock and plants directly every day or every few days. Don't let the cuttings stand in water though - a light mist is perfect. And allow partial to filtered sun for these varieties of cuttings.

Quick Preview

Here's a quick preview of the AG display that will be in Allan Hancock College library to celebrate and educate students and the public of the AG department's new hands-on horticulture, animal science, and agricultural science classes.

I am using artificial flowers, fruits, and veggies along with more rustic decor like the burlap, crate, and wood slabs. We'll just pop in a few bottles of wine and we'll have an amazing display!

Happy Labor Day!

Iris, Freesia, Asiatic lilies, Bear grass, Stock, and Flax

We chose to have a bolder take on the traditional reds, whites, and blues for Labor Day. Instead, we have the deep burgundies, royal purples, and creamy lavenders. Perfect for a Labor Day display for restaurants, buffets, offices, and other venues.
