Our Newest Model Recruit

Niles, our newest model. He was such a ham when he came to spend a few hours out side in the sunshine with me.  He practically begged me to let him model our boutonnieres.

He has a few different moves and poses

His white tummy was such a great backdrop

Bouquet Stem Wraps

I think we have definitely entered into our Indian Summer here on the central coast. So a fun indoor activity with the fans set on high over the weekend was to practice different stem wrapping techniques and designs. Floral designers usually have a habit of saving cardboard paper towel rolls to decorate and often times use as props in photos and on sets. Of course, one would not even imagine of using a paper towel roll as the base of a bridal bouquet for a real bride; but they can play their part.

We used some interesting plant material that fulfilled the unique color scheme. Amaranth, oxalis, liatrus, and lilies just to name a few!
