Dahlias, Rudbeckia & Amaranth

Sun-orange and burgandy
I love including the dahlia buds. Just adds some sweetness.

Dahlias, snaps, and safflowers

Chose a neutral colored wrap to really make the flower colors pop instead of competing with the flower colors.

Summer spice

I felt very "Dia de los Meurtos"-inspired...you may see something in
that theme from me soon!

And the arrangements for the tables

Melanie & Kevin Engagement

Anyone for table 6?

Antique shops and thrift stores are not only a great place to get cheap vases and containers, but you can find some of the most unique containers that really make the theme of your event come to life.

Not every arrangement is exactly like the other which adds charm and individuality to the flowers at the event. As long as you carry the colors and theme throughout the tablescape,  you don't need to worry about perfectly matching everything.

Indigos & Violets

We think the extra glam in the arrangement and in the base keeps the "garden vibe" from being too informal. It is youthful with a little glitz!

The vines are woven through the centerpiece to entertain the eye

Dahlias, agapanthus, statice, liatrus, alstroemeria, snaps...

Inspired by a garden theme...and BLUE. I have this absolutely beautiful agapanthus 'Gold Strike" that has gold and green variegated foliage and holds this stunning deep indigo and royal blue flowers throughout the summer months on the central coast.

Assumption of Mary

The manzanita branches mimic the physical assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven as they reach through and up out of the arrangement.

All of the arrangements set up at Old Mission Church

We used a complementary palette of periwinkles and indigoes, to pale golds and ivories that are present in the murals on the interior walls of the church.

Hanging Hydrangeas

Hanging baskets used as our containers

Hydrangea, ferns, jasmine vine, pink coleus

The ribbons were so beautiful blowing in the breeze

Close-up

A great way to dress up an event in the shade.  Use hanging baskets and make your arrangement in them. Be sure to arrange it while the basket is above you so you can make sure it looks great from underneath (since people would be walking underneath them). Adding the ribbons was a great idea especially since it was a breezy day :)

Wild & Natural

Bridal BQ

A little difficult to photograph, we tried a side angle shot as well.

Texture in the Greens

Ivy, Grass seed pod, Lamb's ear

Trick Carn, begonia foliage, mondo grass loops

Trick Carn, begonia foliage, black mondo grass loops

I did a bit of scavenging in the yard to come up with these green boutonnieres. I was unsure what kind of ribbon to put on them (more greens?) Unfortunately the pictures could be much better- these were super cute in person.

Floating flowers

How much more romantic can you get? I guess you could add floating candles :)

Caladium Whites

Had some leftover whites from an event. Just waited for everything to open and put them all together! I must admit, I was pretty pleased with the outcome!
